Glass Photography Community Spotlight
The Glass Photography Community is one of the two photo related social media sites (Vero is the other one) where I post my photos. The links to my accounts on these sites are at the bottom of this blog post. I joined these sites because they are truly focused on photography and community. I’ve had meaningful chats about photography with a number of people on Glass and Vero. Most, I’ve never met other than through these sites. When was last time you’ve had a meaningful discussion with anyone on the “photo” site that shall not be named? Neither, Glass nor Vero has advertising nor do they use algorithms to control what you see. What a refreshing difference this is.
Recently Fabrizio, one of the Glass member photographers that I follow, wrote a Spotlight article about my photography. It was a unexpected and pleasant surprise and I’m honored by his appreciation and show of support. This typifies the sense of community on Glass and illustrates why I enjoy it so much.
